Step 3: Length of lessons/Cost

• Interactive Notebooks and Lesson Plans

  • My typical "Lesson" I sell on TPT covers 4-5,  45-60 min classes or a week of instruction in a typical secondary school. 

  • A custom lesson on a new topic I have not previously made curriculum for would cost $30-$45 and take about 3 weeks to finish. 

  • That price and time would be less for a topic I have already made curriculum for in the past

    • Example: if you wanted my one of my Star Trek and Ethics Lesson presented as an Interactive Notebook instead of a Lesson Plan, that would cost $20 and take about 1-2 weeks. 

• Unit Menus

  • The Unit Menus cover 3-5 weeks of instruction time (45-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week)

  • A custom Unit Menu on a new topic I have not previously made curriculum for would cost $45-60  take about 3-4 weeks to finish.

• Novel Studies

  • Novel Studies can be done as Readers Notebooks (individual interactive notebooks for each book) as Unit Menus or as Lesson Plans.

  • The length each novel studies takes to teach is relevant to the length of the novel. The cost is also relevant to the length of the novel.  The length of time I take to create the novel study is also relevant to the length of the novel. However, older books that are in the public domain and have free PDF versions take me less time to read and create curriculum on. 

    • For example  The Little Prince (24,000 words) would take 5 days to teach and would cost $20 to make. Where as  Dune (187,240 words) would take 9 weeks to teach and would cost $200.
